~About Me~
I bought my first show dog in 1971 and have been bitten by the show bug ever since. I raised Champion Brittanys until I moved to Utah in the early nineteen-eighties, at which time I turned my focus more to the hound group.   It is getting harder for me to keep up running with the Whippets and Ibizan Hounds in the show ring, so I have also started showing Italian Greyhounds and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. 

My life long dream is to raise and show the very best in dogs.  This dream has become a reality with my amazing Ibizan Hound "Special Acres Image of a Gent".  Some of Gents career highlights include: Winner of an Award of Merit at his first AKC Invitational (qualifing as a puppy), Winner of Best Opposite Sex AND Best Bred By at his second AKC Invitational, and Winner of an Award of Merit AND Best Bred By at his third AKC Invitational.

I view breeding dogs as producing a work of art. Breeding not only for conformation, but for health, temperament and function.

Special Acres is located in the beautiful state of New Mexico.
